Born and raised in Chicagoland, Sarah Lawhead works as a stylist for photo and video projects. Her interest in visual language, culture, and current events drove her to an interdisciplinary degree in photography and journalism from Columbia College Chicago.

Through her work she seeks to merge consumer driven objects and ready-to-wear fashion with hidden spaces of the imagination, creating a framework for rebellion to parse preciousness. Her use of pattern and color attempt to convey tension, and, in so doing, invite the viewer question conventional standards of perfection.
